After earning a degree in English Language and Literature from Loughborough University, Catherine Cumine completed a PGCE in English at Manchester Metropolitan University and went on to build a 25-year career as a teacher, educator, and advisor. Her work has focused on curriculum development, literacy initiatives, and supporting both students and educators in diverse learning environments. Now in her role as Projects Manager at Sazani Associates, Catherine draws on her extensive experience in education to design, coordinate, and deliver programmes that empower communities through learning and capacity building. She manages multiple projects across regions, ensuring they are inclusive, effective, and grounded in real-world educational practice. Catherine’s ability to connect people, ideas, and resources makes her a vital part of the team’s global mission. Her passion for equity and lifelong learning continues to shape her approach to development work in dynamic and meaningful ways.
